Whether you are replacing worn interior doors or upgrading your front entry, we handle sizing, hanging, hardware, and finish work for a perfect fit every time.
When to Replace Interior Doors
Builder-grade hollow-core doors are the standard in most Inland Empire tract homes. They dent easily, transmit sound, and look cheap — especially after you have upgraded to new floors and fresh baseboards and trim. Replacing them with solid-core doors transforms the feel of every room.
Solid-core doors block sound better, feel more substantial, and last decades longer than hollow-core. We hang new slabs in existing jambs when the frames are square and in good condition. If the frames are warped, split, or out of plumb — common in homes that have settled on clay soil — we install full pre-hung units with new jambs and trim.
Most homeowners in Temecula and Murrieta replace all interior doors at once during a flooring or remodel project. Doing them all at the same time ensures consistent hardware, consistent gaps, and a cohesive look throughout the home.
Exterior Door Upgrades
Your front door is the first thing visitors see and the last line of defense against the elements. In the Inland Empire, exterior doors take direct sun exposure that can exceed 150°F on a dark surface facing west. That heat warps wood doors, fades paint, and degrades weather stripping in just a few years.
We recommend fiberglass entry doors for most Inland Empire homes. Fiberglass does not warp, crack, or rot. It insulates better than wood or steel. And modern fiberglass doors with realistic wood-grain texture are nearly indistinguishable from real wood at a fraction of the maintenance. Pairing a new entry door with energy-efficient replacement windows maximizes your home's curb appeal and energy savings.
Every exterior door installation includes new weather stripping, threshold adjustment, and sill pan flashing. We shim and plumb the frame, install the lockset and deadbolt, and adjust the strike plate for a clean, secure close.
Hardware Selection and Installation
Door hardware is a small detail that makes a big difference. Mismatched hardware — different finishes, different styles, different manufacturers — looks sloppy and feels inconsistent.
We help you select a coordinated hardware package: matching lever or knob style across all interior doors, matching hinges (satin nickel, oil-rubbed bronze, matte black, or polished chrome), and matching deadbolt and handleset for exterior doors. We source from Schlage, Kwikset, and Emtek for residential projects.
Every hinge is recessed into a properly routed mortise. Every strike plate is chiseled flush with the jamb. Every latch aligns with the strike on the first close. After doors are hung, we coordinate with our painting crew to touch up jambs and casings for a flawless finish.
