Everything handled — so you don't have to.
We go beyond flooring installation. Furniture moving, appliance handling, material pickup, dust containment, and finish detailing are included on every project at no extra charge.
Why We Include What Others Charge Extra For
Most flooring companies quote the floor and nothing else. Then the add-ons start: furniture moving, toilet pulls, appliance disconnection, material delivery, dust barriers. By the time the job is done, the final invoice is 20–30% higher than the original quote. When you get a quote for flooring installation from Big Head Flooring, everything listed on this page is already included.
Our quoted price is your final price. Furniture moving, appliance handling, material pickup, dust containment, and finish detailing are standard — not line-item surprises.
This approach is simpler for you and more efficient for us. When the crew arrives, they have everything they need to start and finish the job without delays, extra trips, or last-minute phone calls about who is moving the refrigerator.
Furniture Moving Done Right
We do not just shove your couch into the next room. Every piece of furniture is wrapped in moving blankets, carried (not dragged), and placed on protective padding in a designated staging area. Fragile items, electronics, and valuables are identified during the pre-job walkthrough and handled accordingly.
For whole-home projects, we stage furniture in the garage, a spare room, or a POD if space is tight. We move furniture room by room as installation progresses — most homeowners in Temecula and Murrieta continue living in their home during installation without significant disruption.
When the job is complete, we move everything back. Furniture pads go under heavy pieces to protect your new floors. Felt pads are installed on chair legs, table legs, and bed frames at no charge.
Dust Containment and Cleanup
Flooring demolition and installation create dust, debris, and disruption. How a contractor manages that process determines whether the experience is tolerable or miserable for the homeowner.
Before any work begins, we seal off the work area with zip-wall barriers at every doorway. HVAC registers in the work zone are covered with plastic and tape. Negative air machines run continuously during grinding and demolition to capture airborne particles.
At the end of each work day, we sweep, vacuum, and wipe down surfaces in the work area. When the job is complete, we do a final deep clean — including vacuuming corners, wiping baseboards, and cleaning windowsills. You should not need to clean your house after we leave.
